Access to value-based, quality healthcare services.
Value-based healthcare is the equitable, sustainable and transparent use of the available resources to achieve better outcomes and experiences for everyone. It is vital that those experiencing homelessness not only get help with accommodation but are also able to access the health and care they need. Ensuring that available resources are used for interventions that provide the most valuable outcomes for patients will help to ensure that resources are used optimally. People experiencing homelessness can access mainstream health care provision, but many feel uncomfortable doing so. Some feel like they negatively ‘stand out’ and are not treated with the same respect as the general population in certain health care settings.
