Quality relationships

People have the time and resources to nurture quality relationships.

Goal description

People who are more socially connected to family, friends and the wider community are happier, physically healthier and live longer, with fewer mental health problems than people who are less well connected. Social relationships — both quantity and quality — affect mental health, health behaviour, physical health, and the risk of mortality. It is also the case that relationship breakdown is a leading cause of homelessness.
